Often the coders and testers are given small odd jobs, or called to meetings that eat away their time.
If such time is not accounted in ProjeQtor, it looks as if they are wasting their time doing nothing.
Is there a feature where the coder or tester can add their own work and show how much work he has done?
Ideally, he should be able to show dependencies of his job to the other tasks in the project.
Also, sometimes he is given a job for which a project does not exist.
What is the best practice to handle this?
This is possible with activities planned with regular planning modes.
Have a look at planning modes "regular between dates" and "recurring".
Then, coder can record his "sort term" job on tickets and link the ticket to the activity, through the "Planning activity" field.
This will decrease left work on planning activity and get a summary of tickets on the planning activity.
