When we allocate projects to a source, is it necessary to specify the start date and end date?
Often the project dates slip past the end date, so what happens if some of the activities assigned to "this" resource fall outside the allocation dates? Will the resource be blocked from accessing the activity? If so, how will the PM take corrective action?
Is it possible to just leave the start+end dates blank in the project allocation screen, and go on with the assignment of activities?

Not planable work will be highligted as error.
Will the resource be blocked from accessing the activity?
When allocation end date is passed (or start date not passed yet), resource cannot acces any item of the project.
Is it possible to just leave the start+end dates blank in the project allocation screen, and go on with the assignment of activities?
