It took some time to set it up but, now I've a larger project (real life) planned in Projeqtor.
Planning based on activities is fine at writing desk as long as nothing unforseeable happens.
In case of something unplannable is happening (i.e. late delivery from supplier, whatever) it's reason to create a ticket for sure. There is no new activity as long as problem of missing resources (material) is resolved.
In another thread it was mentioned that there's no manipulating relation between tickets and planned activities. So my question is simple:
How to tell Projeqtor when some parts are not delivered in time and activities have to move time frame for this, in worst case whole time frame of project (end date) must be moved to unforseeable?
How to tell Projeqtor to restart time frames of activities in such a case without entering thousands of parts as resources?
In projeQtOr, this should be really easy.
You just have a fixed milestone to point out incoming (this milestone may be linked to incoming to measure its quality), with dependencies to following tasks.
If incoming is late, just change date of milstone and replan...
